Age Limit & Eligibility for CUET UG 2025:
For appearing in the CUET (UG) – 2025, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025 can appear in the CUET (UG) – 2025 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.
List of Qualifying Examinations (QE):
- The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
- Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
- Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
- A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
- Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
- In case the Class 12 Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.

Accountancy/ Book Keeping, Agriculture, Anthropology, Biology/ Biological Science/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry, Business Studies, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Computer Science/ Information Practices, Economics/ Business Economics, Fine Arts/ Visual Arts/Commercial Arts, Geography/ Geology, History, Home Science, Knowledge Tradition – Practices in India, Mass Media/ Mass Communication, Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics, Performing Arts (Dance, Drama , Music), Physical Education (Yoga, Sports), Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology.
List of Languages:
English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.
General Aptitude Test:
- For all the remaining languages including Foreign Languages i.e. (Arabic, Bodo, Chinese, Dogri, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri , Nepali, Persian, Russian, Santhali, Sindhi, Spanish, Tibetan and Sanskrit).
- For domain-specific subject/paper on Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies and Engineering Graphics.
Note :
For the three Central Universities of Sanskrit, the candidate studying any of the subjects in the field of Shastric traditional subjects i.e. Sahitya, Vyakarana, Phalitha Jyotisha, Siddhanta Jyotisha, Nyaya, Advaita Vedanta, Visistadvaita Vedanta, Dvaita Vedanta, Sankhya Yoga, Agama, Mimamsa, Puranetihasa, Dharanasastra, Rigvedabhashyam, Krishna Yajurveda Bhashyam, Shukla Yajurveda Bhashyam, Samaveda Bhashyam, Atharva Veda Bhashyam, Vastu, may select Sanskrit (325) in the online Application Form of CUET (UG) – 2025. Also, candidates are advised to select the subjects as per the mapping of Universities.
Syllabus for CUET UG 2025:
- Language Subjects: Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary and Narrative), Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary.
- Domain Subjects: As per NCERT syllabus.
- General Aptitude Test: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/ algebra geometry/mensuration/statistics), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
